Spain Conquers Day 2!
The Spanish 49er teams are showcasing a magnificent performance in this championship. Much like a drama, following the lead of Botín and Trittel on the first day, other sailors also delivered stellar performances thanks to the strong support of their teammates.
Botín, in particular, publicly expressed his gratitude to his teammates for their assistance with measurements and all preparations while he was participating in SailGP in Cadiz. It was a heartwarming moment that once again highlighted the importance of teamwork. 😊
The Brothers Begin Their Pursuit!
A team particularly worthy of attention is the brothers Martín and Jaime Wizner from RCN D Vigo. Overcoming the disappointment of the previous competition, they made a spectacular comeback on Day 2, winning two out of three races! 🏆
These brothers, who are also the current European champions, secured victories in the first and third races, and showed consistent performance with a 16th place in the second race. Martín Wizner commented after the competition, “The results weren’t entirely consistent, but the wind seemed to favor us more than yesterday. I’m satisfied.”
