From 1975 to 1979, he served as the Financial Director at Standard Eléctrica (Alcatel), and subsequently, he was active at Endesa. He established a solid foundation in the field of electricity.

He was one of the founding members of Grupo 16, a large group encompassing over 15 media outlets and 8 radio stations.
