The Start of Warm Solidarity for All: The 1-Mile Course
The first course to kick off was the 'Milla solidaria' (Solidarity Mile). This course, which started at 7:30 PM, was filled with the spirit of warm solidarity and inclusion, just as its name suggests. 🥰
Here, various social integration centers and individuals with functional diversity participated together. The sight of approximately 300 participants running and fully showcasing their abilities was truly inspiring. Just imagining the warm atmosphere of mutual support and encouragement brings a smile to my face!
The 5km Race of Challenge and Passion
Next was the 5km course. Here, about 550 participants engaged in a heated competition. 🏁
In the men's category, veteran runner Daniel Espada from CA Atlas won with a time of 16 minutes and 34 seconds! He reportedly took the lead shortly after the start and ran solo. It must have been a magnificent race.
In the women's category, Claudia Fernández crossed the finish line with the fastest time, claiming the victory. Both athletes delivered fantastic performances!
Who Won the 10km? Champion Boutoil and Herreros!
Following that was the main event, the 10km 'Murada de Palma – SER Runner' race. This classic night race attracted a huge crowd. 🌃
Notably, Aziz Boutoil and Rosa Herreros were crowned 'champions' of this 10km race. 🏆
Aziz Boutoil, from ADA Calvià, demonstrated his 'kingly' prowess by achieving an incredible five consecutive victories in this classic night race. That's a truly remarkable record!
Thus, the 'Murada de Palma – SER Runner' was more than just a run; it was a moving festival where all participants came together, respected each other's abilities, and practiced warm solidarity. 💖
Reflecting on this news made me think a lot. I was reminded again of the great joy and energy we can gain when we sweat and run together, and how important it is to accept and include each other as we are, with our differences.
