The incident took place around 2 PM today on the serene Cala Vinyes beach. A British woman, approximately 70 years old, suddenly began to feel unwell in the sea. Bystanders enjoying their rest immediately noticed and rushed to her aid.

Fortunately, thanks to the quick response of beach lifeguards and other beachgoers, the woman was swiftly rescued from the water. Lifeguards immediately utilized emergency equipment to administer first aid and, recognizing the severity of the situation, called for an emergency medical team.
Calvià local police and the SAMU 061 emergency medical team were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, medical personnel worked to stabilize the woman's condition, performed endotracheal intubation (entubada), and then transported her to the hospital. Her current condition is reported as 'guarded prognosis' (pronóstico reservado).
