“This Breast No Longer Exists”: A Scene of Despair, What Brought Us Here?
I was also deeply saddened to hear this news. On October 26, 2025, thousands of people gathered in front of the Andalusian government, crying out, 'This breast no longer exists.' This was not just a slogan; it was a desperate cry against the failures in breast cancer screening and the collapse of the public healthcare system. Shall we take a look at the scene together? 😥

Hello. Today, I have a story I'd like to share with you. It's about a scene in Andalusia that recently took place on October 26, 2025. I was also very interested when I saw the news. Thousands of people gathered in one place and raised their voices; what was the reason?
Desperate Cries Echoed in the San Telmo Palace
Voices of condemnation against the Andalusian government resonated loudly. On this day, thousands of people gathered in front of the San Telmo Palace, where the Andalusian government offices are located. The CCOO union estimated about 30,000 people, and subordinate government agencies estimated 8,500. The reason they took to the streets was not due to just one crisis.
Breast Cancer Screening Failures, and a Deepening Public Health Crisis
The biggest reason was the issue of failures in breast cancer screening. There was a desperate cry from Ms. Ángela Claverol, president of the Seville Association of Women with Breast Cancer. She said, 'This breast no longer exists. We have to show the Andalusian government that we are not 2,000 or 20,000 people. We are many, many women in Andalusia.' As she said, the number of women suffering from breast cancer screening failures was by no means small.
In fact, the Andalusian government announced that the number of women who experienced breast cancer screening failures reached 2,317. This number could be just the tip of the iceberg. 💔
However, the protesters' anger did not end there. The breast cancer screening failures were a symbol of protest against the overall collapse of the Andalusian public health system. Citizens expressed deep distrust in the health policies of the current Juan Manuel Moreno administration and called for improvements.

Why Must We Raise Our Voices?
This incident poses important questions for us. Are our public health systems, which are directly related to our health and lives, functioning properly, and are there any people being left behind? The issue of breast cancer screening, which is particularly linked to women's health, is a matter that must be handled with even greater sensitivity and care.
Each of our small voices can gather to create a greater resonance. I hope the story we shared today has resonated deeply with you as well. 🙏
