Last Friday, 'Control Day' was held at the 'Lonja de Palma,' a crucial venue where agricultural product prices are determined. Interestingly, despite the swine flu crisis that occurred in the Catalonia region last week, the price of 'porcella' remained unchanged at 75 euros.
Antoni Mestre, who reported this news, described maintaining the value of 'porceleta' (a diminutive term for young pigs) for island farmers as being like 'a mere mirage.' It suggests something that seems almost dreamlike. 😢
