Instagram, Now Available on TV! 📺 The Era of Vertical Videos Enjoyed from the Sofa?
I was also really surprised when I heard this news! 😮 It's reported that Instagram might soon be coming to our TV screens. Particularly, vertical video content like Reels will be brought to TV, allowing us to scroll and enjoy it comfortably from the sofa. I'm really looking forward to seeing how our video viewing habits will change!

Hello everyone! Today, I've brought some truly exciting news. 📱➡️📺 It's said that Instagram might soon be available on our living room TVs. I found myself very interested after seeing these reports. Let's explore together what changes await us!
Instagram Prepares to Launch TV App
According to what Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram, revealed at the recent Bloomberg ScreenTime conference, Instagram is planning a dedicated TV app to enhance the platform's video content.
This is seen as part of Meta's deep investment strategy in video content. Mosseri stated that if viewers increasingly consume social content on TV, Instagram also "wants to be able to show it in a compelling way on all relevant devices." He even expressed regret over the delayed launch of the TV app, saying, "We should have considered this a few years ago." 🤔
From Reels to Vertical Videos, Coming to TV
So, what will the Instagram TV app look like? The most noticeable change is bringing vertical video content like Reels to the TV screen. It sounds fascinating, doesn't it? 🤩
Now, we'll be able to enjoy Instagram's various videos on our TV screens while sitting comfortably on the sofa, just as we would scroll on a smartphone. Being able to enjoy familiar interfaces and content on a larger screen, more comfortably, is certainly an attractive proposition.

No Plans for Netflix-Style Original Content
However, there are no plans to secure original content in the style of Netflix or Disney+. Instagram reportedly has no intention of directly purchasing copyrighted content like sports broadcasts, Hollywood movies, or dramas. 🙅♀️
Instead, it is expected to focus more on User-Generated Content. This is Instagram's greatest strength and the reason users continue to visit the platform. We are looking forward to seeing how the content we already love on Instagram, such as friends' videos, interesting challenges, and daily life shares, will unfold in the new space of television.
