The Chungnam Institute of Health and Environment conducted special inspections from May 22nd to June 14th on 72 businesses in 15 cities and counties within the province that emit air pollutants. As a result, violations of regulations were confirmed at a total of 9 businesses, including emitting pollutants exceeding the standards or making unauthorized changes to emission facilities.
The main violations include:
- Violation of the obligation to install measuring devices: 3 businesses (e.g., electrical resistance value meters, sulfur oxide meters)
- Negligence in operating and managing emission and prevention facilities: 3 businesses (failure to comply with appropriate operating standards)
- Unauthorized changes to emission facilities: 2 businesses (changes made without prior permission)
- Other legal violations: 1 business
